Fringe Options
I design my scarves with two fringe finish options.
Hemstitching (left) is a process completed while still on the loom. The warp threads are hand stitched in small groups and it gives an even 1.5” fringe across the width. Hemstitched scarves are a few inches shorter than a tasselled scarf.
Tassel (right) is completed off the loom and involves larger groups of warp threads twisted together to form a roughly 6” tassel. Tasselled scarves are a few inches longer than a hemstitched scarf.
